"The dress must follow the body of a woman, not the body following the shape of the dress."

Wiek XX to istne sukienkowe szaleństwo. Sukienki ołówkowe, dopasowane, a także rozkloszowane w stylu pin- up, bombki, princeski, moja osobista królowa - mini, i wiele wiele innych interesujących fasonów.

A dress - maxi, midi, mini, a long sleeve dress or strapless, V neckline or turtleneck? Latest women's fashion trends are so different. A great variety of fabrics, patterns and sewing techniques, embellishments and accesories, all these elements allow the fashion designers to create breathtaking dresses and gowns.

Not everyone knows that dresses that we love to wear so much evolved from the capes worn in the Middle Ages. The style of a dress was changing through the centuries. At the begining women worn very elegant, massive and embellished gowns. They were in a sense a reflection of social tastes and moods of that times. Later on, a dress started to be perceived as some kind of art and allowed the designers to create extraordinary gowns with numerous layers and folds.  Gradulally the style of a dress was changing into lighter, stright and fitted dresses. The XX century can be seen as a great boom of new styles. In that time pencil dress, A, Y - line, pin-up, my beloved mini and many other intersting dresses appeared.
Today I would love to present few photos of a dress that I sewed. The dress is made of dark graphite stretched fabric. It is stright, long sleeve and plunging neckline, a mixture of elegance and new trends. It is another project that for sure will keep a special place in my heart and wardrobe:)
